Harry James Austin, 89, of Floyd, VA, went home to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 27, 2020. Harry had been retired for many years from Akzo Noble in Roanoke where he worked as a machine operator. He loved the beauty of Floyd County and the many friends he had in this community. He loved gospel music, was an avid hunter, loved photographing the local wildlife and scenery, watching sports on TV, especially baseball, and making his rounds each day to local restaurants and establishments. He especially looked forward to time with his friends each morning at Hardee’s. Harry served in the Korean War and was a very proud patriot.
