Mary Lou Gast, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 12, 2018 in the beautiful mountains of Floyd, Va. She was proceeded in death by her loving husband William L Gast, Sister, Martha Jane Valenti, and her parents Dove and Carl Wheeler. Mary Lou is survived by her daughters; Becky (Mike) Landrum, Jenny (Tom) Doom, Son; L. Scott (Natalie) Gast, Granddaughters; Nicole Roberts, Erin (Eric) Davis, Great Grandsons; Jacob, Alex, and Luke, Brother; William (Margaret) Wheeler, Niece; Linda Martz-Traynor. Mary Lou and Bill were married in 1947 in Lima, Ohio. They lived in Lima until 1959 when they moved to Toledo. They raised their family and then retired to Ada, Ohio in 1989. After Billís passing in 2012 Mary Lou moved to Roanoke to be closer to her son. The past 2 years she has been living at Oak Haven in Floyd, Va. being cared for by the most compassionate people on this earth. The family will never be able to thank these angels enough. Love to Judy Bryant, Liane Dicesare, Cassidy Harris, Randy Alls, Melissa Simpkins. Mary Lou loved visiting with her family and caregivers and sitting in the garden surrounded by birds and flowers.
