Leota May Rumburg - b.1932-12-01 d.2019-01-31Leota May Rumburg, 86, of Floyd passed away on Thursday January 31, 2019. Leota was the department head at the hills department stores until she retired. She served in the United States Navy from April of 1953 through February 1957 where she received a National Defense Service Medal during the Korean Conflict. Leota is preceded in death by her parents: Ira F. Lamp and Leva Backus Lamp, along with her husband Earl Grant Rumburg. She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-laws: Earl “Kirk” Rumburg (Virginia), Phil Rumburg (Loretta), grandchildren: John Rumburg, Catherine Rumburg, sister: Vieva Bias, brother: Basil Lamp (Friedrun) and sister-in-law Linda Lamp, along with numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. A Grave side service will be held on Saturday February 2, 2019 at Restvale Cemetery at 1pm with pastor Darren Landon officiating. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Floyd Co. Rescue Squad. There will be no services at the funeral home Online condolences may be made
