Mildred Hall Perry

September 11, 1915 - March 12, 2011

Mildred Hall Perry (“Mim”,” Granny”) of Floyd, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, March 12, 2011, with her family by her side. She was born on September 11, 1915 to the late Frank O. and Beulah Wade Hall. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Christopher C. Perry and three brothers, William, Freeman, and Frank Oakley Hall. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Floyd. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Doris Perry, Floyd; Clyde (Pete) and Etta Perry, Stuart; Christopher and Betty Perry, Roanoke; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Frances Call, Charlotte, NC; Jo Moricle, Woolwine; Belle and Dudley Thompson, Roanoke; special caregivers, Melanie Hall, April Bates, and Melinda Smith; nine grandchildren, eleven great- grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Linda Mitchell Motley officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday after 6 p.m. at Gardner Funeral Home where the family will be from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
