Our family sends its deepest condolences on the passing of this wonderful woman who I only knew for a short time in my youth, but who will always be a pillar of love, care, and hospitality In my memory. She made her home an open and safe place for me. You will be missed, and the world is a dimmer place without you, Mrs. Wirt.

Mrs. Wirt was a special lady to me in my growing up years, and she and her family were the best neighbors I ever had. When they moved to Floyd, my parents soon followed and they became neighbors again. She was a strong woman who loved the Lord and her family dearly. I was frequently in and around her home. Not only was she a great friend to my mother, a wonderful seamstress, a Scottish dancer, could carry on a conversation back and forth with her cat Scooter, BUT she could take care of a snake with a hoe in one wack that was in the yard where us kids were playing. I love her, I love the memories, and I will miss her dearly.

Her smile will always be remembered , along with her neighborly Chocolate Chip cookies. Proud mom to our friend Chris . We send our love and condolences to a strong family of God loving people. May Peggy rest in Gods loving embrace. May the family find peace in the knowledge that Peggy ran her race with love and dignity. Peggy will be missed for a very long time!

Our condolences for your loss. While a loss on earth is only temporary for we know those who die in Christ are only going ahead of us and we've see them again. And, having gone ahead, I hope she doesn't convince the Scribe of whom edits the Book of Life to make any changes to those offenses I've already repented of. She does have a way with the LORD,as many will attest. Gone for now but to be seen again real soon. Hugs and kisses to you all Mark and Chandra

So thankful for a precious Christian neighbor friend, "Peggy Wirt" and my shopping buddy, even though Fred said that we couldn't be trusted together!! And of course Chuck Jones agreed with him! Our children were friends and playmates together, from the crib to graduation, and they're still friends. Fred and Chuck were friends also, from fix-it buddies to time-share vacations together. How truly blessed we are, to have so many great memories, for so many years. We love you Peggy, Fred, children and families. May God bless and keep you in His tender precious and loving care. Janie

To Jonathan and the entire Wirt family. Henry and I offer our heart felt condolences on the death of your mother. We know that she will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her dearly. Continue to rest in the comfort that for Christians, "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." Honor her by keeping the love that she has shown you and her legacy going. Know that we will continue to lift you up in prayer.

So sorry to hear of Peggy's passing. Peggy's sister Ruth in Grafton is my Aunt. I met Fred & Peggy at Ruth's 70th birthday. When Peggy told us about the Floyd area, it was just what we liked. Over the years since we go 3-4 times a year, hike Buffalo Mtn and just love traveling the countryside out there. Rest easy Peggy and thanks so much for all the memories Sandra and I have because of you.
