I was saddened to hear of the passing of Gertrude today. She and Arby were always very warm and welcoming to me at Indian Creek Primitive Baptist Church. When I started preaching Gertrude was very supportive. Gertrude was always at church and she will be sorely missed. Please let me know if the family needs anything.

Gertrude was one of my favorite great-aunts. When we were little Dad would take us over to see Arby and Gertrude after visiting his parents grave and going down to the spring for a drink of water. I stopped to see Gertrude last summer while down visiting family. It was so great to just visit and listen to all the stories. She was a wonderful woman and will be missed. I'm sorry that I'm not able to be there in person to express our sympathy. Please know that you are in our hearts and prayers. Sincerely, Teri Harris (Loy's daughter)
