Muriel Ivelene Ratcliff

Muriel Ivelene Marshall Ratcliff, 85, went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2022. She was born in Carroll County on May 9, 1936 but lived in Floyd County on the farm most of her life. She was raised on the farm, loved all animals from baby calves to the beautiful birds flying around. When she got older, she worked at Donnkenny as a presser. When she retired, she raised gardens and worked her flowers. She loved spending time with her family, spoiling her 2 girls and boy, other grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband James Ratcliff Sr., Her parents Ennis and Mattie (Huff) Marshall. Brother Chester Marshall, and sisters Lillian Gillespie and Loucille Jones. She is survived by her 2 boys and daughter in laws, James William Ratcliff Jr (Melanie) and David Allen Ratcliff (JoAnn): grandchildren Jessica (Derek) Dials, Brianna Ratcliff, Kelli Sowers, and James Warren Ratcliff. Great grandchildren, Donovan Dials and Parker Frye. Visitation will be at Gardner Funeral Home on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 6pm to 8pm, Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Den Hill Cemetery, Shawsville, VA.The family is being served by Gardner Funeral Home.
