Vicki Lynn Fain

Vicki Lynn Fain, 66, of Check passed away October 6, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family and her dogs Charly and Baily. She was a graduate of Virginia Tech and did contract furnishings for the Government in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Vicki enjoyed a multitude of outdoor activities from kayaking, running and hiking. She loved nature and was an active gardener, beekeeper and kept the neighborhood hummingbirds fed. She especially enjoyed group canoe trips from Canada to the United States. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Pasty Fain and brother Teddy Alvin Hall.

Survived by husband: Bruce M. Frederick, Jr.; daughter: Carol Adkins (Matt Wynn); brother: Jeff Fain (Vickie); nephews: Jamie Fain and family; Joe Fain and family; Bruce’s sons: Paul M Frederick and Adam S. Frederick and family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Please consider donating to the Floyd Co. Humane Society in memory of Vicki.

I'm so sorry for your loss. She was always so kind to me and such a wonderful neighbor.
