Charles Alan Yoho

May 15, 1956 - December 15, 2023

Charles Alan Yoho, age 67, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Dec. 15, after a sudden illness. Chuck, as he was known by most people, was a devoted husband and father who cherished time with family. He loved the Lord and his church families; the one at Floyd Church of God where he taught Sunday school, and those at the Floyd Parish UMC. He was always eager to help any church with their projects.

Chuck enjoyed gardening and construction, and actually built his own house. He owned and operated Buffalo Electric in Floyd Co. for 26 years. He was a hard worker who strived to do everything well. He loved to make people laugh, and he also spent his spare time doing jigsaw puzzles and reading the Bible. Chuck loved his dogs and was blessed to have many special companions throughout his life.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathy; 3 sons: Matthew Yoho, Andy Yoho, and Kevin (Chasity) Yoho; 9 grandchildren: Taylor, Brittany, Ariel, Ethan, Drew, Brandon, and Kayley Yoho, and Lydia and Michael Bryan, 2 step-grandchildren: Morgan (Cody) Quesenberry and Zach Weddle; 5 great grandchildren: Ella, Elaina, Jaxon, Jacob, and Lainey, and 2 step-great grandchildren: Collins and Hollis. He is also survived by 2 sisters: Jennifer (Gary) Clute and Karen Mullooly; 2 brothers: Jeff Yoho and Chris Yoho; a sister-in-law Debbie (Doug) Kay, a brother-in-law Buck Vaughan, and a large extended family.

The family will receive friends on Sun. Dec. 17 from 6-8 pm at Gardner's Funeral Home in Floyd. Funeral service will be on Mon. Dec. 18 at 11 am at Floyd Church of God, with burial at Huffville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Floyd Church of God, 122 Floyd Hwy S., Floyd, VA.

My most sincere condolences to Kathy and sons. Chuck was a neighbor on Maple Ave. when we were much younger. Time and prayers are the keys to healing pain, I send you both.

I am sorry to see this news. Chuck was a great electrician, and a contractor. I was always happy to meet him and his wife on the job site. Both where always a blessing to be around.

Kathy and family, We were so sorry to hear of your loss. We always liked seeing Chuck - and you when you became his helper. We always trusted Chuck and was the first person we called whenever we needed work done. We so enjoyed his sense of humor and he always seemed to be in a great mood. We hope you feel the love people felt for you as the pain continues to heal.
