Richard Lee Hunter

August 01, 1935 - February 08, 2024

Richard Lee Hunter, 88, of Willis passed away peacefully at home on February 8, 2024. He was preceded in death by his son Richard Hunter Jr. He is survived by; his wife, Mary Hunter; Daughters, Angela Mclean (John), Norma Doilello (David), Rita Pugh; son, Joshua Hunter (Sandy); Grandchildren, Andrew Hunter, Laken Mclean, Zoie Hunter; along with numerous nieces’ nephews and cousins as well. A grave side service will be held at Duncan Chapel Community Cemetery at 2pm Sunday February 11, 2024, with T. Michael Bond officiating.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Richard. He was a good, hard working man. My deepest condolences to the family.

I am sadden to read this this morning. He was a one of the strongest Floyd football fans. He was there, rain or shine, to watch his grandson play. He will be deeply missed.

Richard was a good man. I will miss seeing him in the stands at the FCHS games. He wasn't afraid of hard work and helped me on more than one occasion. Prayers for the family.
