Robert Francis Ricigliano
August 05, 1952 - April 20, 2025
Robert Francis Ricigliano , 72, of Willis, Virginia passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday April 20, 2025.
Robert is survived by his wife Eileen Ricigliano, son Keith Ricigliano and daughter-in-law Jean Ricigliano, son Chris Ricigliano, sisters Linda Morneau and Donna Ricigliano, brother William Ricigliano and sisters-in-law Donna Warner and Linda Coite. He is preceded in death by his parents Dominick Ricigliano and Mary Ieni.
Robert’s greatest joys in life were his music, cooking, flying and cross-country motorcycle trips with his wife. He loved playing second violin for various community orchestras for the past 30 years and for the Messiah Sing every Christmas. He enjoyed cooking for people as along as 3 ounces of bourbon went into the chef first. The motorcycle trips were always an adventure with the only planning being picking a theme for the road trips. His passion was flying his Piper Cherokee which he flew for over 40 years. He liked building furniture and cabinetry, and helping his son Keith restore a 50’s era farmhouse.
He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
Funeral viewing hours are from 11-1:00pm Friday April 25 at Gardener’s Funeral Home in Floyd with internment to follow at Roselawn Cemetery Mausoleum in Christiansburg at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Robert "Bob" was one special, interesting fellow. When he and Eilene came to the area to look for their forever home, I got to meet them and liked them both immediately. As the house was being built, they got so much done TOGETHER and it turned out to be lovely. Bob shared some of his recorded videos which his loving Eilene had created. She was quite skilled at that and more! Sitting on their porch, enjoying the lay of their land and sipping a bourbon while Eilene might film a visiting bear from her side of the porch rail is a memory I'll not for get. I enjoyed the too few times I would share musical interests with Bob and regret not making more of that commonality. May God help Eilene as she now goes forward without her Dear Partner, Bob.
