Teresa Lynne Gillespie

January 31, 1971 - May 26, 2025

Teresa Lynne Holt Gillespie, 54, of Copper Hill, passed away on Monday May 26, in her home. Teresa received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from National Business College. She received many certifications, but she was most proud of her Mack certification; She used it for many years working on Mack diesel trucks and always felt like a mechanic at heart. She loved being a wife, mother, daughter, sister and granny spending as much time as possible with her grandkids. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her three boys and making them self-sufficient. She was preceded in life by her dad: Marshall Holt; grandparents: Muriel and Algier Holt, Clifford Davis, and Stella Clark; Grandson: Dominic Holt; parents-in-law: Gene and Lilian Gillespie. She is survived by her loving husband: Ernie Gillespie; mother: Jo Anne Furrow; sons: Joshua Holt (Kris), Kasey Farmer, Ryan Jenkins, Bradley, Brandon and daughter Conner Gillespie; grandchildren: Mason, Lincoln, Bentley, Novalynn, and Donavin; brothers and sisters: Richard Holt, Michael Holt, Amanda Brooks, and Janice Palmer (Shane). Many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday June 5, 2025, at Gardner Funeral Home with Pastor Whitey Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 P.M until 5 P.M before the Celebration of Life. Immediately following the services there will be a meal for family and friends at Copper Hill Church of the Brethren. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donation be made to the Copper Hill Church of the Brethren Food Pantry.

Teresa was a very good friend and like a sister to me. We lost touch somewhat after I moved. But loved her very much. RIP my friend.
