Diana was such an accomplished and caring lady. I remember her even from my early years as she supported the youth in our community and when she visited with my mother. She always had a kind word and truly listened to what others had to share. Last year I had a chance to visit with her, and it was a wonderful afternoon that I consider a gift. Lyle, Rene, and families, I am so sorry for your loss. I know you will cherish many wonderful memories. She remains within you in so many ways.

Enjoyed many a day with her and Wesley . Used to walk out of goose Creek up to there store to catch the bus and have several great days with them . Enjoyed several days being with her when she was living across field from me . Miss her calling me to talk or help her around the house. Even had great days taking her to get groceries and to doctor . Going to be missed by so many . Rest in peace my dear friend and cousin. Until we meet again .

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I remember Diana as an extremely sweet lady always willing to help others. My first remembrances of her were when my dad arranged for me to ride to band practices and events from my home in Check to Floyd County H.S. with her and Christine Angle's sons. This was on many occasions and I am thankful for the opportunities she presented. After my graduation from high school, I lived and worked near Blacksburg and lost touch with the Wimmer family. In 2011, I called and asked if I could visit and interview her for a book I hoped to write and she was again very generous with her time and shared stories and photos with me for the book. Again, my life became busy with work and sickness in the family over the next years and I was unable to finish the book until now. I am so sorry I will not be able to share it with her once it is in print but I will always remember her and her many contributions to my life.

Diana was my second cousin, I haven’t seen her in many years but have fond memories of times spent with her at family reunions and when visiting my Great Uncle Stanley and Aunt Audrey. She was such beautiful person and always spread joy and warmth to those around her. My deepest condolences to her children and their families. Rest in Peace, Sweet Diana.

To Lyle and Rene and your families, I am so sorry that your dear mama is no longer in this world, but I Praise God for welcoming her into The Kingdom. She was a huge part of "The Village" that raised all of us around Terry's Fork, and I can't describe the influence she had on my life and my faith formation. Sadly, I won't be able to join all of you at Havens Chapel on Monday. What a joy it would be, back in that dear place and celebrating your dear mama. Please know that at 11 am on Monday, I will be sending prayers of thanksgiving and love your way. Thank you both for sharing her with all of us. ❤️
