Lena Evelyn (Smith) Vest, age 75, of Roanoke, formerly of Floyd, went to be with her Lord April 1, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Dale Vest; three children, Laura (Danny) Texter, Jefferey (Elizabeth) Vest and Catherine (Billy) Hartman; three grandchildren, Stephanie (Allen) Hubbard, Charles StClair and Jason Texter ; one great-grandchild; one brother, Charles (Sarah) Smith; two sisters, Bonnie (Bob) Elliott and Brenda (Wayne) Underwood. The family with gather at 1:00 Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel to greet friends; then a service to celebrate Lena's life will be held at 2P.M. with the Reverend J.C.
