Mr. Gordon Ezekiel Nichols, 79, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Belle Maison Nursing Home in Hammond, Louisiana. He was born February 21, 1935 in Floyd County, Virginia. Surviving are his wife, Vera Annie Gordon Nichols; daughters, Susan (Bruce) Angell, Patricia (Scott) Angle, Candice (Curtis) Dennis, Nicole (Larry) Montecino, and step-daughter Stormie (David) Bourgeois; step-son, Earl Brent McCarroll; grandchildren; Alex, Zack, Callie, Kayla, Brandee, Natalie; step-grandchildren Lainey, Lawson, Judah, Lacy, Clint, Harley, Jami, and Breann; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Burton Nichols; sisters, Flossie Moran, Tressie Sigmon, and Shirley Mauk. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ezekiel Chris and Ruth Jane Conner Nichols; brothers, Robert, Billy, and Alton Nichols; sisters, Eunice Guilliams and Annie Moran. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Monday October 20, 2014 in Restvale Cemetery, Copper Hill, Virginia.
