Barbara Piper Messenger

Barbara Piper Messenger, 79, of Saint Thomas, PA, went home to her Lord and Savior on April 14, 2016 at her daughter’s home. She was born June 25, 1936 in Milford, MA. The Daughter of the late Samuel W. and Thelma Rhines Piper. She is the widow of the late Kenneth Messenger, who died in Sept. 2010. She loved the outdoors, gardening, fishing, camping and most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior. She is survived by her two children: Richard Messenger of Londonderry, NH and Elizabeth Woolfrey of St. Thomas, PA. She has five grandchildren: Joshua, Benjamin, Christopher, and Arianna Messenger and Mackenzie Leary, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. A memorial Service will be held on Saturday April 23 at 2 PM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave. Chambersburg, PA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
