Emmett Lee Farmer

Emmett Lee Farmer, 67, of Floyd, passed away on June 2, 2017 at Lewis Gale Hospital in Salem. Lee was born March 18, 1950 to the late Emmett W. “Pete” and Dorothy Farmer in Princeton W.VA. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a brother: Roger Farmer. He is survived by his wife: Brenda Cockram Farmer; son: Matthew Farmer; sister: Thelma Formato; sisters-in-law: Beverly Sutphin (Troy), Debra Farmer; mother-in-law: Lorene Powers; and numerous nieces and nephews. He attended Tuggles Gap Baptist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Funeral services will be Monday June 5, 2017 at 11am at Gardner Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Bowman and Pastor Murray Agee officiating. Interment will be in Lee Cemetery at Tuggles Gap. Friends may call after 5pm Sunday June 4, 2017 where the family will be from 5pm-7pm.
