John Cline "JC" Wimmer, Jr.

July 13, 1954 - February 08, 2018

John Cline “JC’ Wimmer, Jr., 63, passed into peace Thursday February 8, 2018, after a long battle with Wegeners Granulomatosis. He will be missed by family and friends that knew him during the years of employment at Crenshaw Lighting, playing softball, and coaching in the local recreation league. Preceded in death by loving parents J. Cline and Mary Wimmer and twin sisters, Sharon Wimmer, Karen Moran, sister-in-law Margie Cahill and brother-in-law Larry King. Survived by wife of 42 years Peggy Wimmer, son Travis (Siobhan) Wimmer, daughter: Jenni Wimmer; Sisters: Sarah King, Betty (Glenn) Gallimore and brother-in-law Gerald Moran and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, and Nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2pm at Copper Hill Church of the Brethren with Pastor Dan Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Copper Hill cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before service time at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Floyd County Rescue Squad.
