I worked with Bill at the Hospital when we had real security. I enjoyed his war stories both military and street. Always one to prank us, Bill always kept it lively and I am proud to have called him friend. RIP Sir.

Bill was an American hero and proud U.S. Marine and career police officer. Bill was one of those rare individuals that could do most anything. He was mentally and physically tough as any person I have ever met. He was the survivor of one of the most honorific traffic crashes, while on duty as a motorcycle police officer, that I have ever witnessed. His devastating injures never slowed him down. Our condolences go out to the family and each loved one will remain in our thoughts and prayers. Wayne and Martha Pike

Hilda and Family, Someone just come in the office and told me about Bill. I am just heartbroken. Bill has been such a good friend for so many years. I will sure miss his infrequent visits to Galax. He was so good to help me when I lived in Hillsville. Such a good man and thankful he had you to make him happy. Sending love and prayers to you.
