Shelby Jean Conner

June 26, 1938 - July 03, 2018

Shelby Jean Conner, age 80 of Salem and formally of Floyd County departed this life, July 3, 2018 to join her loving husband, Elder William T. Conner, who passed away February 10, 2017. They were joined here for 62 years. She was preceded by her parents Berkley and Annie Jane Randolph Rierson, two sisters, Mary Blondine Longhi, Geneva Athelene Moran, one brother William Allen Rierson. Survived by one son, Dennis Conner (Lynda) ; two daughters: Jennifer Conner Harris (Melvin), Melissa Conner Harden (William); foster daughter: Audrey Rierson Levicki (George); grandchildren: Michelle Woolwine (Jody), LeeAnn Holloway (Ronnie), Lindsay Hinkson (Nate), Nicholas Conner (Tori), Lucas Harden (girlfriend Alexis), Bethany Harden; Great-grandchildren: Ashleigh, Kelsey, Kaylee, Dylan , Adeline. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am, Monday July 9th at Salem Church (Head of River) Primative Baptist Church with Elder Junior Conner and Elder Larry Hollandsworth. Interment will follow in Restvale Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday after 6 pm at Gardner Funeral Home, Floyd where the family will be from 6-8pm. Then the family will receive friends 9:30 – 10:30 before the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ronald McDonald’s House or St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
