Shirley Jean Moore

Shirley Jean Moore, 81, of Floyd, VA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. She was born on in Floyd County, VA, a daughter of the late Geneva Williams Agnew and Aubrey Agnew. She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Moore and former husband, Gordon Moore. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Moore and brother, Thomas Agnew. Shirley retired from Professional Ophthalmic Laboratories in Roanoke, VA. She volunteered with the senior group in Floyd. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling. She was a member of New Haven Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 23, 2019 at New Haven Baptist Church in Floyd, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm at the church with Rev. James Cockram officiating. Interment will follow immediately at the Greasy Creek Cemetery in Floyd, VA.

Patricia, I am so sorry for your loss. Your Mom And I were first cousins. Your mom was the most sweet and kind person. I will Keep you in my prayers in the days and Weeks ahead. My deepest sympathy.
