Ruth Simpkins Terry

August 16, 1926 - April 30, 2019

Ruth Simpkins Terry, 92, of Floyd, passed away Tuesday April 30, 2019. She was a member of Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Clovis W. Terry, 8 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by a sister; Donna Wilson, brother; Erby Simpkins, sister-in-law; Juanita Simpkins, special nephew; Todd Wilson, Mildred Kohler, Guelda Skaggs, Brothers-in-law & spouse; Carl & Nellie Terry, Grady Terry; many nieces and nephews along with care givers and special friends; Shannon Parnell and Ann Cox. Funeral Services will be Friday May 3, 2019 at 11am at Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren with Rev. Marvin Wade and Rev. Richard Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Beaver Creek Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren.

saddened to hear of ruth's passing, but happy to know she is now whole- walking without any problems and no pain. She was a very special lady and will be missed greatly. she always had a smile on her face each time I entered her home for her physical therapy- even though she knew she would have to exercise. I know her church family and caregivers will miss her as well.
