Kathleen Weddle Jamison

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” 2nd Timothy 4:7 Kathleen W. Jamison, age 100, of Floyd, VA., passed away on Monday September 6, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, William P. Jamison; beloved son, James J. Jamison, and Larry W. Jamison; parents, John R. and Leeta Weddle; brothers, D.T. Weddle and Alton J. Weddle Sr. Kathleen is survived by her grandson, Chad Jamison; daughter-in-law, Michele Jamison of Huntersville, NC. She is also survived by special nieces and nephews and their families. Kathleen worked for the bank of America in different states. She retired at the age of 72, to take care of different members of her family. Pursuant of her wishes all funeral arrangements are private. Please omit flowers. Her favorite charity was “Disabled American Veterans” P.O. Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH. 45250-0301. Kathleen'so life was not in vain. She and I shared the birth date (3/4). I grew knowing her and her family. Her father gave my son's his first hair cut. It has been my pleasure talking with her. A very precious Lady Love my all

Kathleen was a good friend and neighbor. I know she grew so tried of waiting her turn to leave this earth. So I am glad for her the time arrived. She told me one time she didn’t know why she was still here she had done out lived all her friends. I said thanks a lot. What am I chopped liver. So we got a good laugh out of that. Thank you to all that were so good to my friend in her last days. I will miss her

What a loss - prayers and thoughts for the family. My brother (Ben Ninmann) and I owe our very existence to Kathleen. In the early 1940s, Kathleen wrote in response to a pen pal ad and as the letters came in she would share them with her distant cousin and good friend Veda, who took an interest in a letter from Frank. Kathleen gave the letter to her. Veda and Frank wrote back and forth and eventually met, were engaged for about six years as WWII intervened, then married. If it hadn't been for Kathleen, none of that would have happened.
