Megan Rene’ Conner gained her angel wings on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Megan was born on November 29, 1988 in Salem, Virginia. Megan has been described by family and friends as a beautiful Angel on Earth, great friend, wonderful aunt and sister, reliable and capable co-worker, and so many more amazing attributes. Her smile, laughter and goofiness lit up any room. Megan never met a stranger and everyone that knew her loved her so much. Megan is survived by her parents which she adored, Steve and Tammy Conner and Steve and Angie Webb. She had very loving grandparents, Fred and Janice Conner, Freddie and Freeda Harris, Ernie and Zenna Webb, and Margie McCracken. Megan is also survived by her special great-grandmother, Sylvia Goad. Her loving siblings include Morgan and Evan Phillips, Maggie Webb, Stephen “Kooter” Conner and Macy Webb. Megan is also survived by the little loves of her life, her nieces and nephew, Avri, Brylee and Camden Phillips and her special doggie companion, Josie. Left behind to remember her are many special aunts and uncles, relatives, and many, many friends. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday December 11, 2021 at Gardner’s Funeral Home in Floyd, Virginia with Pastor Mike Varner, and Stephen “Kooter” Conner officiating. The family will hold a visitation beginning at 12:30 pm with the service to follow at 4 pm. Although never blessed with her own, Megan adored children of all ages and blessed many children in her earthly life. In honor of Megan and her love for her nieces and nephew, the family ask that you please consider donating in her memory to Auburn Elementary School’s Family Resource Closet, Faith Missionary Baptist Church Preschool, or a similar organization.

I still can't believe this is real. Oh the laughs we had at work. You use to make comments and say, you know people our age and I'd remind you I was old enough to be your mama. She adored her family and talked about you all often. I can't imagine your pain. I lift you all up continously in prayer. Sweet girl you will be missed . You left your laughter in out hearts.

No words can be said to take away the pain of losing such a precious soul as Megan. My heart breaks for her loving family. Our hope and faith is in the day that we are all reunited for eternity. Dance in Heaven sweet one until we meet again

When I heard of Megan’s passing, among the many thoughts and emotions that went through my mind was this poem: written for the loss of a infant or child, it describes my thoughts about Megan. My life was blessed to have known her.

Megan, Words cannot convey how you left an impact in our life. From the first time we met you, instantly you became a part of our family. Heaven gained a very special angel. You will always have a special place in our hearts. Our thoughts, and prayers are with your family, and may the wonderful memories carry them through the days ahead. My deepest sympathy goes out to the family Megan was a wonderful person got to know her from doing several services at my home and church and then my father - law when Covid was so strict she was so patient with the family due this and we appreciated her we never forgot her kindness she showed us . I remember Megan as young child, her beautiful smile and sparkly eyes would always touch my heart. The energy she had was forever to be admired. My heart breaks for you her parents, grandparents, siblings and the rest of the family. Hold the memories you made with her close to your hearts and cherish the years you had her. I am so sorry for your loss. Megan helped my family when our sister passed away this past August, she was so helpful and kind and I thought of her often since then, when I heard of her passing I was so sad. May God comfort you during this time and the upcoming days, weeks and months ahead.

Though I never met Megan I have worked with Steve for many years and have meet her from his words and stories she sounded like a amazing person . Steve,Tammy,Morgan,Kooter our family has your family in our prayers.

I am so very sorry for your loss. There are no words to take away your pain, but I hope you will find comfort from Jesus Christ. My prayers for all who loved Megan. To everyone, My heart and thoughts are with you all. Stevie and Angie I can even imagine loosing a child but my prayers are with you as well as your spouses.
