Bonnie Rose Wilson

April 02, 1953 - January 22, 2022

Bonnie Rose Wilson, age 68, of Mt. Airy, NC, passed away on January 22, 2022, at Surry Community Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born and raised in Floyd, Virginia to the late William Theodore and Shirley Conner Wilson. Bonnie was a sweet and special soul who overcame many physical challenges throughout her life. She is loved dearly by all who knew her. She is survived by four sisters, Mary Nester and Beulah Correll, (Clyde) of Floyd, VA; Marie Bolt, (Jesse), of Mt. Airy, NC; Ruby Harter, (Bill) of Basset, Virginia; a brother, Percy Wilson, (Phyllis), of Pilot Point Texas and a sister-in-law Scottie Wilson of Lewisville, NC and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by a brother, James Robert Wilson. A funeral service will be held on January 26, 2022, at 2 PM at Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren, with Rev. Marvin Wade Officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren C/O Bonnie Wilson Funeral Expense Fund, 409 Ridgeview Rd, NW, Floyd VA, 24091. The family would like to express their gratitude for the care, love, and compassion shown Bonnie throughout her life.
