Betty Elois McCoy, 79, of Floyd, Passed away on Thursday October 6, 2022. She was a member of Mount Union Church of the Brethren. She was a caregiver for many years assisting people all over the area. Betty is preceded in death by her first husband, Dennis Wayne Conner; son, David Lee Conner; stepson, Bobby Joe McCoy; brothers, Marvin Thompson, Dalton Thompson, Bee Thompson, Lewis Thompson. She is survived by husband, Joe McCoy; son, Eddie Conner; stepchildren, Joey Lee McCoy, Karen Sue Hayes, Beverly Ann Morgan; daughter-in-law, Pam Conner; grandchildren, Amanda Conner, Rodger Conner; step-grandchildren, Tyler Chumbley, Julie Chumbley; brother Howard Thompson (Christine); Sister-in-Law, Ocie Thompson, along with many other step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Monday October 10, 2022, at 11AM at Mount Union Church of the Brethren, with Pastor Greg Fleshman officiating. Interment will follow in Restvale Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday October 9, 2022, at Gardner Funeral Home from 5pm-8pm. Flowers are appreciated, or donations may be made to the Floyd County Rescue Squad or the Mount Union Church of the Brethren in her name.
