Fern Turman Nolen

Fern Turman Nolen, passed away Thursday November 2, 2023, she was born October 3, 1923.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Artice Wilson Nolen, parents, Joseph Phyligar and Pearlie Duncan Turman, brother and sister-in-law, Alvin and Shirley Turman, sisters and brothers-in-law, Rebecca (Tema) and Lon Cox, Zefra and Wiley Webb.

She is survived by her son, Larry Nolen, grand-daughter, Kelly Nolen; daughter, Jean Elliott, grandson, Joseph Slusher, great-grandson, Trevor Slusher, brother and sister-in-law, James (FOS) and Sylvia Turman, many nieces and nephews. She worked 45 years in the local garment factory. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, later in life attended Little River Baptist Church.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday November 4, 2023, at 11am at Gardner Funeral Home with Hosea Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow at Jacksonville Cemetery. There will be a visitation one hour prior to service time.
