Martha Henrietta Miles
November 04, 1937 - November 18, 2024
Martha Henrietta Miles (Henri), also affectionately known as "Henri" by those that loved her of Floyd VA, formerly of Elkhorn WV, received her heavenly reward on November 18,2024, surrounded by love and precious memories.
Mrs Miles was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband, Ernest E MilesJr (Ticky), her parents, Carl and Mae Jesse (East) Robinson and her beloved grandson-in-law, Bryndon Ferris Bason (Brynny) as well as siblings; Lousie Mc Neil, Herman Robinson and Jimmie Robinson.
She left behind her daughters Ernetta Mikels and husband John of Pilot Va and Pamela Miles of Galax VA(Bob) Grandchildren Jessica Mae Bason of Floyd VA (Zac) Jonathan David Mikels and wife Katie VA of Floyd and Justin Miles Mikels of Warren, OH Great granddaughters Aolani Grace Bason and Harleigh Marie Mikels both of Floyd VA. Her son of the heart, David McNeil along with his wife, Debbie, who was a trusted daughter of the heart and friend. And her remaining sibling, Jesse Denver (Danny) Robison (Brenda) of Greensboro NC
Born and raised in McDowell County, WV, Henrietta spent the majority of her life in Elkhorn, where she was a stay at home mother, who was active in her daughters' lives, schools and activities and then her grandchildren’s. After God, she put family first and made it her ambition to take a yearly family vacation, by raising money with regular yard sales, which gave her the opportunity to talk to all her neighbors and friends and share in their lives. She was a lifelong member of the Elkhorn United Methodist Church, where she served as a member of the choir, a MYF teacher and various other duties. She was a favored member of her friends’ groups, always with a welcoming spirit, a warm heart, understanding and a life full of laughter. She never met a stranger and never left without a hug and a kind word. She will be greatly missed, leaving a hole in her family's hearts, minds and souls, until they are united again in God's glorious Kingdom.
Her daughters would like to express their deepest gratitude and appreciation for the friends that supported their mother and allowed her to live as independently as possible for as long as possible. Melissa and Kenny Estep of Elkhorn WV, Robbie Lemmons, Ramona and Meaghan Hines of Floyd VA, Cabot Huff formerly of Floyd VA, now Greensboro NC
They also want to express their thanks and appreciation to her hospice caregivers and the staff at Skyline Nursing Home.
Honoring Henrietta's wishes, there will only be a brief graveside prayer by Kenneth Evans, and Jonathan Mikels, on Thursday Nov. 21,2024 at 2pm at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton, WV. All are welcome to attend, and prayers will be appreciated.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to any an Alzheimer's/Dementia research or to her favorite charity St Judes, to which she made donations secretly and regularly all her life.

Mrs. Miles will be missed greatly. She was always the first to notice a new piece of jewelry, clothing, or shoes. She loved to joke around and I always enjoyed my visits with her and her daughters. Love you always Mrs. Miles Melissa
