J C Underwood, 79, of Floyd went to be with the Lord on Monday February 10, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a crane operator for Lanford Brothers for 26 years. He was preceded by his parents and four brothers. J C is survived by his wife of 51 years: Gloria Underwood; five daughters: Karen Underwood, Shelby Dixon (Wayne), Melissa Akers (Seth), Dawn Williams (Larry), Jennifer Pastrana (Arnold); Thirteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one sister: Lucy Turner; his fur buddies: Patch and Odd Ball; special niece and nephew: Tammy Underwood and Terry Underwood; other family and friends.

A graveside service will be held Thursday February 13, 2025 at 1:00 PM at County Line Cemetery with Pastor Mike Bowman and Pastor Murray Agee officiating.

Rest in Love JC. You and Bob try not to create havoc in Heaven. Prayers and Love for All. May God give You the comfort needed. Love Sis in Texas
