David was a very special friend. We shared an interest in racing. He was on a pit crew helping with a late model stock car and we were always at the races together! Heaven gained an angel in David as he was always just a giving person! Lifting the family up in prayer!

Beth and Carl, I am so sorry. I remember all three of you; David was such a pleasant boy in class. I actually ran into him a few years ago in yard of Old Church Gallery, and we did some catching up. I know how much you will miss him.

I met Dave 36 years ago when he came to work for Corning. It was very clear he had talents and always wanted to learn more. He was one of the first apprentices to receive his journeyman license. His good friend and mentor at the time was Charlie Stump. Dave was a quiet person, which meant you had to sit and listen patiently. Once you did, you found he loved his community and was a good steward of maintaining the beauty of Floyd county. Blessings and condolences to his family and friends.

David and Roger had that special friendship that not many people have. They went to races together and worked car shows together at Richard Childress. They had a special connection to watching Dale Earnhardt Sr race. He spent a lot of time on Sundays watching the races with us. He was a special guy that we will miss very much. He will not suffer anymore because he is in God’s care.

I have fond memories of David from reunions, as he was my cousin. A quiet, reserved gentleman, he was liked by anyone who met him. Years ago I'd run into him at the Farmhouse, where he liked to go for the music. He will be missed.

David was a wonderful person, he will be missed. As a neighbor, without asking he'd always offer to plow my driveway on snowy days, he also helped me with the maintenance on the tractor. He was a great collector of many farm parts, in a pinch he always seemed to have what you needed to fix things around the farm. I was fortunate to have spent some time with him before he transitioned, and we spoke about birds, and little things in life that mattered to him.
