Janine Clower Drum
July 20, 1961 - May 05, 2025
Janine Clower Drum was a caring wife, daughter, sister, and grandmother. She left this world suddenly on May 5, 2025. Janine had a giving heart, love for her family and a love for the Lord. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Russell Drum; parents Stan and Carol Clower; brother Rick Clower; stepson Kevin Drum (Lindsey); stepdaughter Janelle Drum; and step-grandchildren Laura and Elliot Drum, Aidan and Kenza Drum. Also, left to cherish her memory is a large extended family of McNiel’s, Poff's, and Altizer's, and special close friends. Who laughed with and loved her.
Janine graduated from Floyd County High School and earned a degree in Dental Assisting and then Dental Hygiene from VWCC. She and Russ successfully operated Tree Transport for 20 years and even tackled a small business venture Time Travelers yogurt shop in Floyd. They made a good team in business and life.
Janine loved cooking, her church, and family time. She found joy in simple things, like playing Scrabble with her mom, and riskier activities with Russ, like zip lining and skydiving. From ballooning in Arizona to lobstering in Maine, the two of them visited every state except Oregon and Hawaii. But she got the most joy out of surprising family and friends with non-occasion gifts, like recently buying a rangefinder for her brother, and giving to the needy, purchasing several sets of new sheets for the women's shelter.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday May 17, 2025, at 2PM at Huffville Church. There will be a visitation one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Rescue Mission of Roanoke, PO Box 11525, Roanoke, VA 24022.

Sincere condolences to Russ, Carol, Stanley and Rick including the rest of the family and friends. I met Janine in 9th grade and became close friends and when I moved back to Florida her and I met up again when her family would come to the Daytona 500. We picked back up where we left off and from there we were inseparable, we spent every new years together, traveled, beached together and spent as much time as we could for many years. I will always have her close to my heart and always remember our times together. I will miss you dear friend until we meet again.
