Roger Lee Boyd

September 14, 1945 - July 21, 2025

Roger Lee Boyd, age 79, of Floyd, went home to be with the Lord on July 21, 2025. He was a member of New Haven Baptist Church. Roger was a carpenter doing construction for most of his life. He is preceded in death by his sisters: Doris Cox, Marie Goad and Ardella Duncan; brothers: Glendon Boyd and Roy Boyd. Survived by his wife of 55 Years: Polly Trail Boyd; brother: Edward Boyd (Annie); several nieces and nephews; Special pets: Max and Missy. Funeral services will be Friday July 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Gardner Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Agee and Pastor James Cockram officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery - Tuggles Gap. The family will receive friends one hour before service time on Friday.

Saddened to learn of Roger's passing. I'm blessed to remember Roger and Polly as my good friends from way back in elementary school. I've thought of both many times over the years. Many prayers for family and friends for your great loss.
