I want to give my heartfelt condolences to Sharon and the family. I met Russell after we moved to Floyd in 2010. He was always kind, offering ways for a young family with not much money to still have reliable transportation. In addition, there always seemed to be the fragrance of Christ in our interactions which made the trip to the mechanic less intimidating. At the Bread Basket, he always liked the fried apple pies. He would come by the window (even as his disease progressed) and offer a smile as he checked in on how we were doing. He will be missed. My family will be praying for y’all as you say your farewells. God bless y’all. But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. — 1 Thessalonians 4:13
