We were so blessed to have such a wonderful neighbor. Mr. Curtis was the sweetest, kindest man — always thinking of others. Our girls adored him and looked for him every time we drove by his house. He would be sitting outside and offered a smile and a wave as we passed. They loved baking cookies for him, and he never missed a chance to give them a dollar. At Christmas, he always had special gifts ready for the girls, and during the summer, we’d often find bags of fresh tomatoes or grapes left on our doorstep — small acts of kindness that meant so much. He brought so much warmth and goodness to our lives, and we will all miss him deeply. Our neighborhood won’t be the same without him, but we’ll carry his kindness in our hearts always.May the four winds blow you safely home.

I'm so sorry about the loss of Curtis. Betty Turner Jones was my mother and she and my dad came to Floyd often to visit family. We don't get that way often, but we keep you in our hearts. We'll keep the family in our prayers.
