I served under Sergeant Gordon Maddox as he and I were part of a hand-picked group by then Lieutenant Stuart Cook for his prestigious Task Force and SWAT Team doing the decade of the seventies at the Richmond Police Department. Gordon was my Sergeant who led by example, a Brave and outstanding officer and supervisor who was right beside us on many SWAT and high intensity crime situations. May he rest in well deserved honor and peace. Henry Mease retired RPD and Richmond City Council Council Liaison.
