Junior Alfred Vance, 74, of Floyd, Passed away on September 6, 2026. Junior did auto body work for 40 years which he excelled at, as it was his passion. His Pride and joy was his 1939 Plymouth that he built from the frame up. For the last 25 years of his auto body work he was proud to open Vance Auto Body Repair and Restoration where he worked for himself. He lived a simple life where his main focus was always family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Anderson and Barbara Vance; and Wife, Wanda Vance. He is survived by his children, Ricky Vance (Renee), Sherry Chandler (Joe); Grandchildren, Andrew Chandler, Taylor Vance, Paige Chandler, Kelli Abel, Jacob Nofsinger, Joshua Nofsinger, Myah Zeigler, Dietz Vance, Bailey Vance Jacob Sowers; Great-grandkids, Parker Frye, Buckley Nofsinger, Wylder Nofsinger, Emberylnn Waldron; step-children, Matt Abel, Angela Sowers (Sonny); brother, William "Bill" Vance; nieces, Connie Wade, Teresa Gibbson, Crystal Nourse; special friend, Mikey Mengelt.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday September 9, 2026 from 6pm-8pm at Gardner Funeral Home. A private family service will be held at Jacksonville at a later date.

Sorry to hear of Junior's passing. We went to school together and always had a blast! Always enjoyed talking with him. He will be missed. May God comfort all of you now and going forward. God Bless!
