Joanna Elizabeth Falls, 51, of Alvarado, TX and formerly of Floyd, VA passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2009. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lola V. “Ginny” Falls. She is survived by her father, Rev. Joseph P. Falls, Floyd; two sisters, Carol Sutphin and husband W. J., Cathy Cockram and husband, Rev. James; one niece; five nephews; many great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Gardner Funeral Home with Rev. John Chambers officiating. I am so sad to hear of Joanna's death. I'll always remember her as one of my best childhood friends. My heart is with all of the family at such a tragic ending.

This is a very sad and tragic loss. Joanna was the first friend I made upon entering first grade. We had a lot of good times together through the years. She will live on in my heart forever. Love and prayers to all the family.
