Jarry and Family: I am sadden by the news of GW's passing. I remember as a young man his devotion to his family and his laughter. The passing of a loved one is difficult for us to understand but his reward in Hevaen is far greater than our sorrow here. God Bless you all. Neal Turner

Miriman, Steve, Gerry, and John, I am so sorry to hear that G.W. passed away. However, I know that he is in a better place! I can remember on Thursday nights going with my cousin Darrell to the stockyard at Christiansburg and watching with amazment as Lester Shelor and G.W. loaded cattle. I also remember going to Floyd with G.W. to put up hay! I was only fifteen and he told me to follow him with the "Blue GMC Truck" to his brother's farm. He drove the "300 Case" because he was not sure that I could handle it with the rake attached. There was some discussion with his Uncle Ira because Ira thought I should drive the tractor and G.W. should drive the truck. All of this left me with the ambition to want to drive a truck and haul cattle, and I did! I got to drive with Gerry in the "1967 Kenworth" and haul cattle! With that being said, I am praying for the family as I know that G.W. is resting with a loving God.
