Eston Azle Radford

Eston Azle Radford, 85, of Floyd, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 3, 2013. He was born on September 5, 1927. Eston was preceded in death by his father, John Radford and his mother, Julia Radford. Also preceding him in death were six sisters, seven brothers and their spouses. Survivng are his wife of 63 years, Lottie Poff Radford; one sister-in-law, Pauline Radford; brother-in-law and wife, Nelson and Millie Poff; sister-in-law and husband, Lillian and Tilton Oyler. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Joseph Ashby officiating. Interment will follow at the Vest Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday after 6 p.m. at Gardner Funeral Home where the family will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vest Cemetery in care of Lela Peters, 5531 Franklin Pike S.E., Floyd, VA 24091. Lottie, I'm so saddened to hear about Eston. I don't recall ever seeing a jollier man in my life. He was always quick with a laugh and a smile. I know you will miss him terribly but also know he had been suffering. May God bless and keep you through this difficult time and may your memories of him help you in the coming days. Much love! I just learned of loosing my possum buddy from when I worked at the Pharmacy. I am so sorry about your loss Mrs. Radford he is seeing everything in Glory now with his Savior. We love you and are Praying for you!!
