Margaret "Maggie" Chabot

June 28, 1945 - October 07, 2013

On Monday, October 7 2013, this world lost an incredible artist. At the age of 68, Maggie Chabot passed away. She will be cherished and remembered by those friends who knew her best. Maggie's life path was in the realm of art, becoming a jeweler, both creating and repairing, at a time when few women would enter that field. During those years, she worked at many fine jewelry businesses around the country before settling in Floyd County, Virginia and opening Pegasus Jewelry. She closed her business and worked with many establishments in Roanoke and the New River Valley before perfecting stained glass where she took her creativity to a new level with Maggie's Creative Studios. Maggie always did for others without expecting or asking anything in return. Her true memorial and legacy is that her talents, passed on to others, can be seen in the creative art that they learned at her tutelage, and with that, she will never be forgotten. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.gardnerfuneralhomefloyd.com. Arrangements are being handled by Gardner Funeral Home, Floyd, (540) 745-2007.

The world will not be the same without you
