Dominic Allen Arcaro

October 18, 1946 - July 19, 2014

Dominic Arcaro, 67, of Floyd, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014. He was born on October 18, 1946. He is preceded in death by his father, Martin John Townsend, Sr., his grandmothers, Anna Williams, and Julia Townsend, and his brother-in-law, Joseph H. Townsend. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Carolyn May Townsend; his brothers. John Joseph Reider, Jr. and wife, Cori, Martin John Townsend, Jr. and wife, Karen; his sisters, Carolyn Ann Townsend, Patricia A. Jenkins and husband, Jim, Julia Mary Early and brother-in-law, Ralph Early, and Donna Weaver; several nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Dominic always enjoyed fishing and family gatherings, and he really loved wrestling. Dominic worked for the town of Christiansburg, VA for fifteen years. The family of Dominic Arcaro would like to express sincere appreciation to the staff in the B wing at Skyline Manor Nursing Center in Floyd, VA for their loving care to Dominic and to the nurses and doctors in the Critical Care Suite at the Carilion New River Medical Center for their help and loving support shown to the family in his last days. The family of Dominic Arcaro would like to thank the Reverend Vinton Quesenberry and Gardner Funeral Home for all of their help. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Vinton Quesenberry officiating.
