Amanda Gayle Light Haynes, 39, of Pilot, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014 after a two year battle with triple negative breast cancer. She was a 1993 graduate of Floyd County High School, and was employed at BB&T Bank in Christiansburg. She was known for her beautiful smile and her concern for others. She is survived by her son, Zachary Noah Light; her daughters, Kendall Shay Haynes and Keaton Mae Haynes and their father, Stephen Haynes. She is also survived by her parents, Wendell and Dianne Light; her brother and his wife, Brian and Teresa Light and a special niece, Brittany Light. Also surviving are her in-laws, Richard and Jackie Haynes, Scott and Maeve Haynes, Stacy and Drew Viers and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Fellowship Baptist Church, 3795 Surface Road, Riner, VA with Pastor James Bradley officiating. Interment will follow at the Iddings Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church. The family expresses their thanks to Duke Cancer Center and Dr. Robert Rotche and staff at Blue Ridge Cancer Center for their care and concern these past two years.
