Dorothy Burgess Mitchell

Dorothy Burgess Mitchell, age 88 of Floyd passed away March 15, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Mitchell. She is survived by her brother-in-law and wife Kevin & Carole Mitchell, sisters-in-law, Melva Stultz and Lydia Burgess. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be Wednesday March 17, 2010 at 2 PM at Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren with Rev. Roy Turpin officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday one hour before service time. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren 3883 Alum Ridge Rd. Floyd, VA. There will no visitation at the funeral home.
