Stephen Saft

April 11, 1939 - February 13, 2016

Stephen Alan Saft, 76, of Hillsville, VA, passed away February, 13, 2016, after a short illness. He was a loving and caring husband and a constant friend to many. He worked for many years at George Washington University. He was part of a writers group in Hillsville, VA, through his passion for writing he published several books that can be found online, and was currently writing a play. He enjoyed travel, experiencing new things, and was very well read on current events. He is survived by his wife, Harriet R. Saft; one son, Scott Saft; one grandson, and a favorite dog, Cassie. A private service may be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Carroll County Public Library 101 Beaver Dam Road Hillsville, Virginia 24343.
