Andrew, Laurel and Johnny, I am so sorry for the passing of your Mom. She was a very special friend to me in Floyd. I always appreciated her honesty and the way she always told you exactly what she was thinking. I liked her from the first time I met her. There is no one I can think of that can fill her shoes. A lot of people will surely miss her. We will be praying for you and your family.

I was so saddened when I saw that Mrs. O'Connor had passed away. She was always so sweet and kind to me when I was hired as a secretary at Indian Valley Elementary. I truly enjoyed seeing her and talking about "old times" whenever we crossed paths. I will never forget her words of wisdom when I was first employed with the school system. I think of all the time she spent volunteering at Floyd Elementary after she retired as a school secretary. How many people would have "GIVEN" that much time after they retired!! She loved the children and always wanted the best for them. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers. When you lose your mother, you have lost your best friend. With Sympathy, Shirley & Doug Phillips
